This broadcast of Folk It! is completely taken over by music from Brittany. Not your every day music, but those released under label Paker Prod.
Once the label was founded by Yann Pelliet, a citizen of Corncarneau, to support the group Startijenn, which is still the label’s most important and best-selling act. But now several groups and soloist have a contract with Paker Prod. Significant for this label, is the direct way of recording and especially the artistic freedom the musicians have. The longest surviving series is the Art du Solo de Cornemuse (The art of bagpipe solos) by Jakez Pincet, but you will not hear it today. You will hear about eight groups and soloist, who breath new live, ideas, and possibilities into old traditions. They do not limit themselves to the French region.
