A broadcast dedicated to Jeanne Moreau (1928-2017) who, apart from being an actress, also was an excellent chansonnier.
Her most famous song was without a doubt ‘Le Tourbillon’, which she sang in ‘Jules et Jim’ (1926), a song written by Serge Rezvani about her tempestuous marriage with his best friend Jean-Louis Richard. In the 1960s she made four albums, in 1981 a fifth followed and in 2010 she participated on the album ‘Le Condamné à Mort’ by Étienne Daho, who set the famous poem by Jean Genet to music. One year later they performed it live during the Avignon Festival.
Her most famous album is ‘Jeanne chante Jeanne’ (2009) on which she sings chansons composed by herself.
