Gennadi Tumat
Gennadi Tumat founded the famous Tuva Ensemble, who became world famous in the early 1990s because of their performances of traditional throat singing (khöömei) and Tuva overtone music. Tumat performed various kinds of throat singing in the most refined way and died in 1996. He will remain the unrivalled master of khöömei.
