Olivier Messiaen #10. The 1960s.
Messiaen is doing well. He marries Yvonne Loriod in 1961. They perform many concerts together, travel a lot, including a trip to Japan, and she helps him wherever she can with exploring his bird song themes. During this period, his religious beliefs continue to be a strong foundation of his work. Between 1966 and 1969 he doesn’t compose anything. Maybe he was too busy doing other things!
