Special crossover music, chosen by Ton Maas. With DagaDana – a musical bridge across boarders.
Although the music of the Polish Daga Gregorovica and the Ukrainian Dana Vynnytska sounds like pop music it has its roots in the respectively cultural background of the ladies. With their quartet DagaDana have released four albums thus far. The last two have a special theme. ‘List do Ciebie’ (a letter for you) is based on a poem by Polish poet Janusz Rózewicz who died young. Dana was present at the time of the rebellion at the Maidan square in the Urkrainan capital. The song ‘Meridian 68’ is based on that event.
