The Building Instrument trio started playing together in Bergen in 2008, and their original idea was to explore electronic music. This project was quickly abandoned in favor of a more acoustic music. Their game is largely improvised and playfully performed as an ensemble. Singer Mari Kvien Brunvoll sings for the first time in Norwegian on this album and even uses her local Molde dialect. The album was nominated for a ‘Spellemannspris’ (the Grammy of Norway) in the open category. CD. Mangle Min – Building Instrument. Label: Hubro/[PIAS] 2019. Video
