Shostakovich plays Shostakovich – 2
In this second programme about Dmitri Shostakovich, as performer of his own compositions, we will play two works. First his 10th symphony, his own four-hands piano composition. The recording dates from February 1954, two months after the world premiere of the symphony. Shostakovich plays together with Mieczyslaw Weinber, another composer. You will also hear the first three of Shostakovich’s 24 preludes and fugues
