thu 8 aug 2019 18:00 hrs

Trumpet player Muggsy Spanier (1901-1967) was one of the first white jazz musicians in Chicago. He was heavily inspired by King Oliver and his first record was released in 1924. Before he started to produce records under his own label with his Ragtime Band in 1939 and the Sidney Bechet in 1940, he worked for large dance orchestras.
