Trumpet player and drummer Jimmy Sernesky was born in Canada, but grew up in Arcata, California. He first came to Europe in 1978 with the Great Salt Lake Mime Troupe and Available Jelly. He also played in musical and theatre groups as Le Duc Quintet, Jango Edwards, Shusaku and Dormu Dance Theater, Pigeon Drop Comedy Company, Post Uit Friesland, and Tetzepi. At the moment, he mainly performs with the All-Ellington-tentet, Mo Satch and The Pheasant Pluckers.
