Traditional classical music from India by Hariprasad Chaurasia.
Hariprasad Chaurasia is a virtuoso of bansuri, a classic bamboo flute from Northern India. He is a master of Hindu music, is left-handed and therefore holds his flute upside down. Not only has he brought the flute to great heights, he is also a famous composer. His mastery of the flute, the new techniques he introduced and the traditional dhrupad style “barhat” of the Senia Maihar tradition to which he belongs has led to a new generation of flutists.
