A whole night filled with jazz. In this episode, we feature releases by Enrico Pieranunzi, Matthieu Bordenave and Thunderblender.

The Night: Jazz is jazz from Jordy de Muijnk’s personal collection. We’ll start with players from the Netherlands, the Ruud Breuls & Simon Rigter Quintet. They recorded the CD Rise and Shine in 2019.

The French tenor sax player, Matthieu Bordenave, recently released his third production with the German label ECM. Before this, he released an album with his trio and his quartet on Enja Records. La Traversée is an introverted album inspired by a trio formed by Jimmy Giuffre, Paul Bley and Steve Swallow.

We would like to show you another release by the Belgian W.E.R.F Records. The Belgian-Japanese piano player Alex Koo is getting successful in the European jazz scene. His previous release Applesblueseagreen was highly praised. Now, Koo is back with Ralph Alessi with whom he recorded this album. He added the Hungarian percussionist Attila Gyárfás to Isolated Flying Object.
