For decades the Irish singer / pianist / composer Enya, together with her lyricist Roma Ryan and producer / arranger Nicky Ryan, has formed a tight-knit trinity that creates the specific ‘Enya sound’: ethereal singing with vocal (already recorded parts), synthesizer and pulsating rhythms. Enya’s fairytale Celtic ‘new age’ music appeals to a large audience, which is why she is high on the rankings of best-selling Irish artists. This album features Enya’s personal selection from her extensive oeuvre, including the song Aníron, which she made and performed for Pieter Jackson’s film trilogy The Lord Of The Rings.
