The wayward Prokofiev.
In ‘The wayward Prokofiev’, every fortnight an hour-long feature on the life and work of the Russian 20th century composer Sergei Prokofiev, undoubtedly one of the greatest composers of the 20th century. With a good portion from his first opera (The Gambler/Player), and his set of 20 piano pieces that show a more lyrical Prokofiev. We will end quietly with some piano pieces for children by composer, pianist and former teacher of Prokofiev Samuel Maykapar.
