Western religious music from different centuries. A portrait of Cappella Romana conducted by Alexander Lingas. This ensemble will provide the closing concert of the Early Music Festival Utrecht 2021.

This American ensemble specialises in early Christian music from East and West. In the concert, the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul is the focal point.
In this programme, you will hear a portrait of this ensemble on the basis of a CD with music from Cyprus, where East and West met.
You will hear music from the 15th century that sounded in the Orthodox and Catholic cathedrals of Nicosia.
