Two concerts of the Festival Early Music 2018: the second performance by Ordo Virtutum conducted by Stefan Morent and the Fabulous Fringe concert by Penrose Paradox.
A) Cistercians: an Office for Bernard – Ordo Virtutum conducted by Stefan Morent
During the Festival Early Music, the German ensemble Ordo Virtutum performed twice and zoomed in on the two contradictory traditions of the Burgundian monastic life. In their second performance their conductor Stefan Morent shows the other side of the Burgundian monasticism with songs from the 12th century Cîteaux. The unadorned lines of the Cistercian Gregorian sound in an office for Bernard of Clairvaux.
