Concerts from around the country, recorded by Concertzender
A varied palette of the Concertzender’s own recordings. From the 2016-2017 concert season, you will hear registrations from the Kleine Zaal of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. To start with, there is a motley crew under the inspiring leadership of violinist Liza Ferschtman. They play Schubert’s glorious octet for string quintet with double bass and clarinet, bassoon and horn. A delightful combination that you could almost call a chamber orchestra. In one hour, all possible sound combinations and musical intertwining pass by in six movements. Then you will listen to the talented and inspiring Swedish viola player Ellen Nisbeth. She is accompanied by the all-rounder Bengt Forsberg, whose cradle was in the same Scandinavian country. But that was a while ago. Together they play the famous Arpeggione Sonata by Schubert, and a number of arrangements by Ellen of songs that lend themselves perfectly to performance on viola.
