Chamber music by Schubert – Water
On this episode with chamber music by Franze Schubert, all compositions relate to water. On March 22nd it is World Water Day, which is a good excuse to look for clues in Schubert’s music. The programme includes the well-known Trout Quintet, though in a different line-up than you are used to. We will also be listening to two versions of Schubert’s Gesang der Geister über den Wassern to lyrics by Goethe.
