Episode #36. Every fortnight, ‘The Wayward Prokofiev’ devotes one hour to the life and work of Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev, unquestionably one of the greatest composers of the 20th century. On today’s programme you will hear a few residual works from 1934, before we switch to what is probably one of his most impressive compositions: his second violin concerto.
