The Loksias String Quartet received lessons from the Casals Quartet, Henk Guittart, Peter Brunt, the Rus Quartet, and masterclasses within the ECMA Academy for Chamber Music. The ensemble has performed at the Chamber Music Festival in The Hague, the Delft Fringe Festival, the Prinsenhof Museum, and the 2022 edition of the Orlando Festival in Kerkrade. In the coming months, the quartet can be seen in venues such as Delftse Blauw, Rijswijk, and The Hague.
Interview with pianist Pauline Post about the performance “The Sister of Frida Kahlo”, a production of SeaSession and theater maker Servaes Nelissen.
Mexico, Frida Kahlo, Dia de los Muertos, and the player piano of composer Conlon Nancarrow come together in music, stories, puppetry, variety, and absurd animations.
After the premiere on March 30 in Haarlem, the company tours the Netherlands until Sunday, June 4th.
