Bobby himself was a versatile musician who played saxophone, flute, clarinet and piano. In addition, he was also a composer and arranger.
This hour, you will hear recordings from the live concert Bobby Rodriguez and his band la Compaňia played at the Woodstock festival in New York in 1976. There, the songs they played included the well-known composition by Louis Prima, ‘A Sunday Kind of Love’.
In 1978, Bobby and his band released their album ‘A Latin from Manhattan’. This composition became particularly well known at that time for singer Al Jolson. The album became a huge success.
