Once per month, ‘Evening Stroll’ gives attention to the English composer Frank Bridge (1879-1941). His fascinating and colourful oeuvre is hardly known here in the Netherlands. You hear his exuberant Dance Rhapsody with echoes of Tchaikovsky, his attractive painting with sounds in The Sea, and the luxuriant symphonic poem Summer. Furthermore a lovely encore for piano.
