Every third Tuesday of the month, we’ll dive into the astonishingly diverse oeuvre of the English composer Frank Bridge (1897-1941). In part VIII, we’ll start with the saloon-ish works for cello and piano. After that, we’ll listen to a subtle instrumental song with orchestral accompaniment. A Prayer, for choir and orchestra, is a plea for peace in the year 1916. And we end with a few sophisticated pieces for piano.
