Chamber music by Schubert – violin sonatas.
Two violin sonatas are the central focus of this Schubert edition of An Early Evening Stroll. One of them is a live performance from 1968, recorded in Paris, and performed by two Russian greats: David Oistrach and Sviatoslav Richter (featured image). In addition to the violin sonatas, you will also hear three Goethe-Lieder by Schubert, sung by the renowned German mezzo-soprano Brigitte Fassbaender.
