Bach & Co

mon 9 aug 2021 02:00 hrs

A podcast on Bach, episode 23. In this episode of Bach & Co, we look back at the conversation we had earlier with Eduard and Ria van Hengel. We also pick up ‘Op Reis met Bach’.

We philosophise about how Bach brought text and music together and how he was able to keep up the great pace of weekly cantatas. Johann Sebastian must have used quite a bit of organisational talent for this.
We also have a unique story by Eduard van Hengel about how he was allowed to see the original score of the St. Matthew Passion.
And we pick up ‘On a Journey with Bach’ again when we travel further in the footsteps of Johann Sebastian Bach, as chronicled by Govert Jan in De Grote Bach Atlas.
