Govert Jan Bach’s weekday programme about the oeuvre of Johann Sebastian Bach.
Episode 650. Final of this week’s theme the Lutheran Masses, the Missae Brevis.
This week we broadcast a mass every day. Bach reused earlier pieces of cantatas for these masses (parodies).
Previous to every Missa Brevis we always heard a selection of the music pieces that were used by Bach as a basis.
Today we’ll close the week with a Missa Brevis by Johann Ludwig Bach.
