Episode 1251. In this new Bachweek, we continue our exploration of the cantatas in chronological order. We’ve now reached the cantatas Bach composed in the summer of 1724, almost precisely 300 years ago. Kicking off this segment is the cantata “Was willst du dich betrüben” BWV 107, which Bach wrote for the 7th Sunday after Trinity on July 23, 1724.
