Episode 1266. In this new Bachweek, we continue our exploration of the cantatas in chronological order. We’ve now reached the cantatas Bach composed in the late summer and autumn of 1724. Kicking off this segment is the cantata “Herr Jesu Christ, du höchstes Gut” BWV 113, which Bach wrote for the 11th Sunday after Trinity on 20 August, 1724.
