Trumpet player Louis Smith (1931). In 1957 he made his first album under his own name. After a short adventure with pianist Horace Silver, he devoted his life completely to teaching. From 1978 on he could be heard regularly again. He also performed in the Netherlands with pianist Rein de Graaff’s trio.
