Saxophone and flute player Bud Shank (1926) established himself on the West Coast in 1949, and performed at Stan Kenton and in the Lighthouse All Stars. In 1956 he made his debut with his own quartet, with pianist Claude Williamson, bass player Don Prell and percussionist Chuck Flores.
