In 1956, tenor saxophone player Lester Young (1909-1959) was hired for a week as a guest soloist at Olivia’s Patio Lounge in Washington. Five albums of this were released. Today you can hear a small selection, featuring trombone player Earl Swope as second wind instrument player and others.
