Between Swing and Bop

Saxophonist Jimmy Heath (1926) began first on the alto saxophone under influence of Charlie Parker. In the ’50s he switched to the tenor saxophone and developed his own style. Recordings for the label Landmark in different compositions from 1974, 1985 and 1987.
