Bonum Est: a programme on Gregorian Chant. Gregorian Chant from the Lorraine dioceses Metz, Toul and Verdun.
In the 38th episode of Bonum Est you will hear the second CD of the Scola Metensis led by Marie-Reine Demollière: Chants des Trois Évêchés.
The three Lorraine dioceses Metz, Toul and Verdun all have their own connection to Gregorian Chant. Metz was an important centre from where Gregorian Chant was actually spread out. Toul was the seat of the bishop, composer and later Pope Leo IX. Verdun is the place where the most ancient manuscript of Eastern Frankish Gregorian Chant originates from.
