Bonum Est: a programme on Gregorian Chant. Eastern Liturgies 6: Ottoman Jews – Cantor Isaac Algazi.

In the 71st episode of Bonum Est you will hear late Ottoman religious songs from the Jewish Sefardic tradition in Turkey; sung by the at that time famous Cantor Isaac Algazi. 
Most pieces are being conducted by the ud (Turkish lute), some on kanun (Turkish cither), violin or piano.

Almost all recordings are from Istanbul in the period 1925 to 1929.
