Bonum Est: a programme on Gregorian Chant. The great offertories on early and new recordings.

In the fifteenth episode of Bonum Est you will hear another (second) selection of great offertories: the hymns from the Mass repertoire of the 9th until the 11th century that often contained long and complex soloist verses. These verses slowly disappeared from the repertoire as of the 12th century and were never reinstated. In this episode you will hear both the earliest as well as the most recent recordings of some of these works.
