Bonum Est

sat 19 mar 2011 12:00 hrs

Bonum Est: a programme on Gregorian Chant. Buddhist Shōmyō & Christian Gregorian Chant.

In the 16th episode of Bonum Est you will hear a concert recording of the Schola Gregoriana Pragensis led by David Eben with the Gjosan-Rjú Tendai Sómjó led by Saikawa Buntai. A beautiful example of a dialogue between two spiritual traditions.
This meditative concert with early Christian and Buddhist music shows differences in musical language but also similarities in reciting and tonality.
