At the end of the 1960s Léo Ferré (1916-1993) was at the height of his career with songs as ‘C’est extra’ and ‘Pépée. The more famous ‘Avec le temps’ would follow a year later.
Ferré showed himself as an anarchist and was popular among the young people of ‘May 1968’ and gave an electrifying perfomance at the Bobino theatre in Paris in 1969. Allez, ‘Ni Dieu, ni maître’!
