Featuring Bourvil (1917-1970), who was born 100 years ago this week.
In the Netherlands, Bourvil is mostly known as an actor, in successes such as ‘Le Corniaud’ (1965) and ‘La Grande Vadrouille’ (1966), both with Louis de Funès. But Bourvil also recorded more than 300 songs. He was a great chanson expert and good friends with Georges Brassens. Famous Dutch chansonnier Wim Sonneveld (1917-1974) included Bourvil’s songs ‘Une Chansonette’, ‘Le Voyage de Noce’ and ‘Un Clair de Lune à Maubeuge’ in his repertoire.
