Today songs by cabaret company Don Quishocking, mostly composed by Pieter van Empelen (1943-2017).
The company, with Jacques Klöters, George and Anke de Groot and Fred Florusse, wanted to perform destructive and disruptive cabaret in the 1970s, but mostly stood out because of their sensitive, high quality chansons. After Van Empelen left the group in 1977, Willem-Jan Gevers took his place as pianist and composer. After the group had stopped in 1982 a few reunion productions followed with Van Empelen again.
