Old style Jazz. This is Coleman Hawkins (1904-1969) part 6. In the jazz scene he was the first big tenor saxophone player and made records from 1922. At first he performed with singer Mamie Smith for a short period of time, later he played in a band with Fletcher Henderson for years. Hawkins was often the most important soloist in the band. Recordings date from 1929 till 1931.
