Today, we feature the second edition about banjo player,orchestra leader and organizer Elmer Snowden, who formed the basis for Duke Ellington’s first band and, thereafter, made many recordings with small jazz bands. From 1925, he worked with larger bands that were not often recorded, but one of them appeared in a short 1932 film.
