In this episode, we’ll hear music selected by Jeroen van Vliet — pianist, composer, and bandleader. He has put together a septet especially for November Music 2025 for which he has written new material. Soon to be heard live in Den Bosch! Much of the music Jeroen has chosen has an introspective, almost impressionistic character — ranging from compositions by fellow musicians such as Christian Wallumrød and Jakob Bro to songs by singer-songwriters like Nick Drake and Hohnen Ford.

You can listen to the complete conversation with Jeroen van Vliet in the podcast Muziekmakers Der Nederlanden. In this podcast, the Concertzender and New Music Now present musical portraits of creators, composers and musicians in the Netherlands based on their ‘desert island discs’ — the pieces of music they would love to share with the whole world and that play an important role in their work and lives.
