On 29 March in Felix Meritis, the Utrecht String Quartet and the Norwegian bandoneon virtuoso Per Arne Glorvigen enter into an intensive collaboration with music from the North by Andrei Esphai, Mauricio Kagel, Per Arne Glorvigen, and Edvard Grieg.

The players of the Utrecht String Quartet are Eeva Koskinen, Katherine Routley (violin), Asdis Valdimarsdottir (viola) and Sebastian Kolaski (cello). The full programme ran as follows: Andrei Esphai (1925) String quartet ‘Concordia discordans’ (2002); Mauricio Kagel (1931) Pandoras Box for bandoneon solo; Per Arne Glorvigen (1963) Zalgo opus 2 for guitar and bandoneon; Edvard Grieg
(1843-1907) Lyric Pieces (arr. for bandoneon solo by Per Arne Glorvigen); Per Arne Glorvigen (1963) Duda y Fuerza for bandoneon and string quartet.
