Concert by Haytham Safia & No Complication, recorded at the Engelenbak in Amsterdam on 19 January 2011
On Wednesday 19 January, Haytham Safia and the No Complication group performed at the Engelenbak in Amsterdam. It was an intimate concert in a small theatre. Haytham is currently one of the best Early Music players. Safia was born in Galilea but has been living and working in the Netherlands for a long time now. He is a classic Arabic early music player, but his curiosity and interests lead him to explore other styles of music as well.
As such, he performs in the extraordinary fusion band NoBlues and with a quartet of his own that can almost be called classic. Tonight, he performs with his new band, called No Complication. Beautiful music that sweeps you away, made by six soulmates in full harmony.
No Complication consists of: Haytham Safia, early. Morad Khoury, violin. Bram Stadhouders, guitar and Osama Meleegi, percussion.
