The Klezmatics in concert at the Koninklijk Instituut voor de Tropen (KIT) in Amsterdam
On 4 March 2012, the Klezmatics performed at the KIT in Amsterdam. They had reason to throw a party, as their 25th anniversary had passed.
The Klezmatics bring 21st-century Klezmer.
Founded in 1986, this band from the East Village in New York can sometimes sound poppy, interspersed with Arabic, African and jazz influences.
In 2006, they were the first klezmer band ever to win a Grammy Award.
