Africa Festival Hertme 2013: in concert King Ayisoba.

On 6 July 2013, King Ayisoba was standing on the sunny Hertme podium as a dazzling opening band.
King Ayisoba is part of the new Hip-Life scene in Ghana. He combines traditional instruments with beats and other electronic instruments. He plays the kologo, a two-snare guitar that originates from north Ghana. King Ayisoba sings in both English as well as his native language. His lyrics can be funny, are often about current affairs, very personal and they feed your imagination. His music can sometimes remind one of Bo Diddley with his catchy percussion beat, but this is blues of the 21st century.
– Strength:
King Ayisoba (kologo and vocals) is accompanied by three musicians, among which is his brother Abaadongo Adontanga on dorgo (a traditional horn) and Ayuune Suley (kologo, gourd and vocals).
