Concertzender Live

fri 20 may 2022 14:00 hour

Concerts from around the country, recorded by Concertzender

Lots of beautiful chamber music from three different stages.

In The Museum De Cruquius, which occupies the old Cruquius steam pumping station in Haarlemmermeer, the renowned Dutch Osiris Trio will play the piano trio op.97, nicknamed Archduke and the fourth piano trio by Dvorak, nicknamed Dumky. The latter because it is actually six fantasias inspired by old Czech folk dances called Dumka. Pianist Marc-André Hamelin always pushes the boundaries of the piano repertoire. On 15 March 2019, he played arrangements of chansons by Charles Trenet in the Main Hall of the Music Building on the IJ, arranged by fellow pianist Alexis Weissenberg. To conclude today’s programme, the Belgian St. George Quintet will play Dvorak’s quintet, in which the string quartet is supplemented by a double bass player at the RABO Pavilion in Oranjewoud.
