Chamber music performed at the Leeuwenberg church in Utrecht in 2012. At the time, this space served as the secondary location of the Vredenburg Music Centre, which was almost completely rebuilt during the early 2010s.
Lisa Ferschtman delivered an impressive recital with sonatas by Mozart, Schumann, Hindemith and Prokofiev. She was accompanied by Italian-Dutch pianist Enrico Pace, who once made his name in Utrecht as winner of the Franz Liszt Piano Competition. During the second hour, the world-renowned Brodsky Quartet performs Shostakovich’s highly dramatic Eighth String Quartet. The programme ends with the so-called Quartettsatz by Schubert. A separate part for string quartet, which would one day become part of a larger work.
