The Night of the Unexpected is an annual musical surprise package, part of the Gaudeamus Muziekweek. The Concertzender made recordings of the 2012 episode in Tivoli, Utrecht. The formula of The Night is: eight to ten short performances here and there on stage and in the hall which follow one another without a break.
