In Australia, forest fires are part of everyday life, making music on this topic is less common. In this episode, we hear how this sounds. Ormond String Quartet has recorded string quartets of contemporary Australian composers.
This quartet is the ensemble in residence of the academy of music in Melbourne. They play works of composers connected to the academy: Barry Conyngham, de rector of the academy of music, and Elliott Gyger and Katy Abbott, both professors.
