Episode 8: Mercedes Simone.
The series Damas del Tango pays attention to singers in the tango music. The eighth episode is dedicated to Mercedes Simone (1904-1990). Just like Libertad Lamarque, she belongs to the more conventional and sentimental tango singers. The recordings in this episode are from the years 1930-1955. In her versatile tango career, she made over 240 recordings and played in five movies.
